After School Education and Safety System of Support for Expanded Learning Grant


Funding Description

The System of Support for Expanded Learning (SSEL) funding supports local education agencies (LEAs) that serve for the SSEL Lead County Office of Education (COE) to provide field-based technical assistance and support to current and prospective After School Education and Safety (ASES), as well as 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs. The regions of the state served by the SSEL Lead COE correspond to the 11 service regions of the California County Superintendents Education Services Association.

Allocation Formula Each grantee is awarded the base amount of $150,000.00 per region, which is divided by the amount of awarded counties in the region. The additional amount of funds each grantee is awarded is based on the number of school sites being served in their counties.
