Funding Description
Funding supports mental health services provided to special education students with an individualized education program (IEP), in accordance with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
Funds must be exclusively used to support mental health services that are included within an individualized education program (IEP). |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
Grantees must maintain and have available documentation with sufficient detail to enable the California Department of Education (CDE) to establish a link between the services claimed and each student's IEP. Local educational agencies must have a local plan on file with the CDE that has been approved by the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). |
