Funding Description
Funding is provided to the Sacramento County Office of Education (COE) to continue providing services for the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 5961.

Allocation Formula |
Sacramento COE may use up to 5 percent of the funds allocated for the purposes of outreach and administration. In partnership with Santa Clara COE, Sacramento COE shall award competitive grants to local educational agencies participating in the first, second, and third fee schedule cohorts of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, pursuant to subdivision (b) of Section 96 of AB 121 (Chapter 8, Statutes of 2025).

On or before May 1, 2026, Sacramento COE, in partnership with Santa Clara COE, must provide a report to the department, State Board of Education, Department of Finance, Department of Health Care Services, California Health and Human Services Agency, and the appropriate policy and fiscal committees of the Legislature that includes the information specified in subdivision (d) of Section 96 of AB 121 (Chapter 8, Statutes of 2025). |
