Try Agriculture Samples with Tastes and Education (TASTE) Incentive Grant

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Try Agriculture Samples with Tastes and Education (TASTE) Incentive funding gives FFVP grantees for school year (SY) 2025-26 the option to opt-in to additional one-time funding to enhance their local and organic or sustainably-grown procurement practices, to provide students with taste-tests of local, organic or sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, and to support nutrition and agricultural education.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Funding Profile Public notification of the FFVP grant program and funding information.
FFVP Guidelines Supplemental guidelines to help participating elementary schools implement the FFVP in an effective manner. All agencies currently participating in any and all federal Child Nutrition Programs must be in good standing in the operation of those programs and in compliance with all related regulations during the application process and at all times during the course of the grant period.
FFVP TASTE Incentive Participant Handbook(DOCX) The FFVP TASTE Incentive Participant Handbook includes information on guidelines, eligibility, performance period and funding for the FFVP TASTE Incentive Grant.
Good Standing Status Includes the criteria that the California Department of Education will consider in determining an agency's good standing status.

General Assurances & Certifications

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Application.
