Field names, data types, and descriptions for the specified school year District of Choice (DOC) Transfers by District of Residence (DOR) data files.

Definitions for all the data elements included in the downloadable data files of the transfers into Districts of Choice (DOC) by District of Residence (DOR) for the specified school year. Data in these files are disaggregated by gender, race/ethnicity, and student groups.

Socio-economically disadvantaged (SED) – Students are SED if: they are migrant, foster, homeless at any time during academic year; they were eligible for Free or Reduced-Priced Meal (FRPM) Program (also known as the National School Lunch Program), or had direct certification for FRPM at any time during the academic year at the testing school; the parent education level is marked  as “both parents did not receive a high school diploma” at the time of testing

 

Note: The “Total Transfers In” is calculated as the total number of students who transferred into the DOC between July 1st – October 15th for the specified school year, as reported through California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS).
