Title III Immigrant Student Program, Fiscal Year 2025-26

Funding Description

Each local educational agency (LEA) receiving funds under 20 United States Code Section 6825(e)(1) shall use funds to pay for activities that provide enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youth.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria LEAs must have a minimum of five (5) eligible immigrant students and experienced half of one percent (0.5%) or greater growth in the enrollment of eligible immigrant students in 2024 (compared to the average of eligible immigrant students in 2023 and 2022) to be eligible to apply. Immigrant student enrollment for 2025 is taken from the Fall 2024 California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System data collections.
Other Eligibility Considerations LEAs eligible to receive a subgrant may apply for Title III Immigrant Student Program funds directly via the Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS).

Other LEAs are asked to accept or decline funds via CARS. LEAs that fail to respond by the CARS deadline cannot be guaranteed funding for 2025-26.
