2023 Assessment and Accountability Information Meeting Starts Next Week

The first of three meetings of the 2023 Assessment and Accountability Information (AAIM) will take place virtually next Thursday, August 3 from 2–4 p.m. Topics for this meeting include general assessment updates, national and international tests, Physical Fitness Test, high school equivalency and proficiency programs, English language arts/literacy and mathematics summative assessments, and the California Spanish Assessment.

The dates and topics for the other two meetings are:

• August 10—Interim and formative assessments, ELPAC, and science assessment programs
• August 17—California School Dashboard and accountability updates

Registration is now open. You may register on the 2023 AAIM Webinar Registration web page . You may submit your questions in advance on the AAIM Question and Answer Google Form .

CAASPP and ELPAC Systems Downtime Reminder

Downtime for CAASPP and ELPAC systems will start Friday, July 28 at 5 p.m. and continue through Tuesday, August 1 at 8 a.m. During this downtime, the following CAASPP and ELPAC systems will be unavailable:

• Test Operations Management System
• Test Delivery System/Test Administrator Interface
• Completion Status System
• Interim Assessment Viewing System
• Teacher Hand Scoring System

The California Educator Reporting System is currently in scheduled downtime, which started Thursday, July 27 at 5 p.m. and will continue through Tuesday, August 1 at 8 a.m.

The 2023–24 CAASPP Planned System Downtime and 2023–24 ELPAC Planned System Downtime web pages provide a calendar of scheduled downtimes through June 2024 as well as a glossary of abbreviations.

Direct any questions about the scheduled downtime to your local educational agency’s (LEA’s) assigned LEA (Level Student Score Report Availability) Success Agent.
