English Language Arts/English Language Development (ELA/ELD) Subject Matter Committee (SMC) Members Present:

   Call to Order: 1:10 p.m. by ELA/ELD SMC Co-Chair Galvan.
   
   
   1. 2015 ELA/ELD Instructional Materials Adoption Facilitator Refresher Training (Information)
      ELA/ELD SMC Co-Chair Galvan welcomed commissioners and non-commissioners to the facilitator refresher training for the 2015 ELA/ELD Instructional Materials Adoption.
      
      The California Department of Education (CDE) staff walked the facilitators through the deliberations process; specifically the role the commissioners/non-commissioners would be as facilitators during the deliberations session this week. Staff performed a skit that simulated a typical panel during deliberations.
