   1. Call to Order
      Commission Chair Guerra called the meeting to order at approximately 10:03 a.m.
      
      
   2. Salute to the Flag
      Student Commissioner Chen led the salute to the flag.
      
      
   3. Overview of Agenda
      Commission Chair Guerra gave an overview of the agenda.
      
      
   4. Approval of Minutes for the January 24−25, 2024, Commission Meeting (Action)
      
      Action: Student Commissioner Chen moved to approve the January 24−25, 2024, Commission meeting minutes. Commissioner Raygoza seconded the motion. There was no discussion or public comment. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote of the members present (13–0). Assemblymember Ramos, Senator Allen, and Commissioners Friedman, Hicks, and Winawer were absent from the meeting.
      
      
   5. Report of the Chair
      Commission Chair Jarvis gave a report.
      
      
   6. Report of the Deputy Superintendent
      This item was deferred to after Item 1.L. Deputy Superintendent Cheryl Cotton gave a report.
      
      
   7. Report of the Executive Director
      Executive Director Mike Torres gave a report.
      
      
   8. Report of the State Board of Education
      State Board of Education (SBE) liaison Lewis reported on the activities of the SBE.
      
      
   9. California Arts Education Framework Implementation Presentation (Information)
      The Commission received a presentation from California County Superintendents Art Initiative staff on the California Arts Education Framework Implementation. There was no discussion or public comment.
      
      
   10. Clearinghouse for Specialized Media and Technology Presentation (Information)
       The Commission received a presentation from staff regarding the Clearinghouse for Specialized Media and Technology. There was no discussion or public comment.
       
       
   11. Media Literacy Presentation (Information)
       The Commission received a presentation from staff on media literacy. There was no discussion or public comment.
       
       
   12. Individual Commissioner Report
       There were no Commissioner reports.
       
       
   13. Commissioner Acknowledgements
       This was also Student Commissioner Chen’s last meeting with his term on the Commission ending. Commissioners acknowledged his work while on the Commission. Student Commissioner Chen also shared some parting words and reflected on his time on the Commission. There was no public comment.
       
       
   14. Adjournment
       Commission Chair Guerra adjourned the meeting at approximately 11:58 a.m.
