DataQuest Schedule

An overview of the DataQuest reports expected to be released in the coming year.

Overview

Each year, local educational agencies (LEAs) submit information about their students and staff to the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). This encompasses various aspects of student outcomes such as graduation, discipline, absenteeism, and enrollment, as well as demographic details for students and staff, and annual student enrollment. These data are used to produce reports on DataQuest External link opens in new window or tab. and downloadable data files. To assist data users with their planning, this web page covers the schedule of reports to be released this year.

Upcoming Data Releases

In conjunction with the release of the California School Dashboard, the following reports and supporting downloadable files are scheduled to be released on November 13, 2025:

Fall 2025:

  • 2024–25 Four-Year Adjusted Cohort Graduation Rate (ACGR) and Outcome Reports
  • 2024–25 Five-Year Cohort Graduation Rates and Outcome Reports
  • 2024–25 Suspension Data Reports
  • 2024–25 Expulsion Data Reports
  • 2024–25 Stability Rate Reports
  • 2024–25 Chronic Absenteeism Reports
  • 2024–25 Absenteeism by Reason Reports
  • 2024–25 Homeless Student Enrollment by Dwelling Type (release December 2025)

Released Reports

To date, the California Department of Education (CDE) has released the following data for 2025:

Future Releases

Moving forward, the CDE is actively working on the release of average class size and course enrollment data that will contain multiple years of data.

In addition, the CDE also anticipates the release of the Annual Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) Counts and Rates Report that will also include multiple years of data.
