Education Data Collection System

The Education Data Collection System (EDCS) is the system used by the California Department of Education (CDE) to collect data required for a temporary program, or data that are being evaluated for potential inclusion in the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). Local educational agencies (LEAs) will be able to sign in to the EDCS system using one set of credentials to upload data for any temporary collection.

Currently, the CDE collects data for the following programs through EDCS:

• Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
• State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE)
• Supplemental SUN Bucks Collection (SSBC)

Education Data Collection System Access

To submit data for one of the data collections that are listed under the "Data Collections" heading on this page:
Users must first obtain EDCS access, and then must log in to the EDCS system, in order to import and submit data.
