Community Day School Additional Funding


Funding Description

This revenue limit add-on provides funding for districts and county offices of education that operate community day schools. This funding is in addition to regular base revenue limit funding based on average daily attendance in the community day school.

Allocation Formula Of the total $51,999,000 funding available, $47,248,000 is available in 2008-09 and $4,751,000 is deferred until 2009-10.

Allocation is based on fifth- and sixth-hour ADA and seventh- and eighth-hour pupil hours reported on the Attendance School District data entry screen and Attendance County Office of Education data entry screens of the Principal Apportionment Software. School district Community Day Schools are funded $2,742.75 per ADA in the fifth-hour and $2,742.75 per ADA in the sixth-hour. The additional funding for Community Day Schools operated by county offices of education is $2,081.23 per ADA in the fifth hour and $2,081.23 per ADA in the sixth hour. Other Funds are paid through the Principal Apportionment. Principal Apportionment amounts are calculated three times for each fiscal year: The First Principal Apportionment (P-1) is certified by February 20th, the Second Principal Apportionment (P-2) is certified by July 2nd, and the Annual calculation is certified by February 20th of the following year (at the same time as the following year's P-1 certification).
