Independent Evaluation Services for the High Quality Instructional Materials

Funding Description

The purpose of these funds is to secure independent evaluation services for the High-Quality Online Instructional Materials Initiative. These evaluation services will support the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence in consultation with the California Department of Education to evaluate and make recommendations regarding the effectiveness of the online repository and resources.

Funding

Legal Authority The High-Quality Online Instructional Materials initiative was established by Section 144 of the Education Omnibus Trailer Bill to the 2021 State Budget Act, Assembly Bill 130, that was subsequently revised by Assembly Bill 167, Section 41, that added an uncodified section to implement the program.

Allocation Formula The California Collaborative for Educational Excellence may enter into a contract with a nonprofit entity to conduct the evaluation and may withhold no more than 3 percent of the amount allocated ($15,000,000) pursuant to this section for this purpose.
