Funding Description
Assembly Bill 185, Chapter 571, Statutes of 2022, Section 55 of the Education Omnibus Budget Trailer Bill provides $15 million from the General Fund for the Educator Workforce Investment Grant (EWIG) Program: Computer Science (CS) for allocation to one or more county offices of education to provide targeted support focused on strategies for high-quality CS instruction learning experiences aligned to California CS Content Standards.Eligibility

| Required Eligibility Criteria | Lead applicants must be a county office of education with demonstrated expertise in developing and providing professional learning to teachers and paraprofessionals in public schools serving kindergarten and grades one to twelve, inclusive. Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge and capacity to implement the California CS Content Standards in a manner that aligns with the Statewide System of Support. |
