Funding Description
This funding is designated for the design, implementation, and operation of a large-scale, statewide professional development project that supports high performing literacy and basic skills adult education programs, as defined by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA). The federal AEFLA requires funded agencies to provide adult education professional development activities to improve instruction including, English Language Acquisition; Adult Basic Education; Adult Secondary Education; and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education, which includes Integrated Education and Training.
