Funding Description
Each local educational agency (LEA) receiving funds under 20 United States Code Section 6825(e)(1) shall use funds to pay for activities that provide enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youth.

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
LEAs must have a minimum of five (5) eligible immigrant students and experienced half of one percent or greater growth in the enrollment of eligible immigrant students in 2025 (as compared to the average of the eligible immigrant enrollments of 2024 and 2023) are able to apply. Immigrant student enrollment for 2026 is taken from the Fall 2025 California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System data collections. |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
LEAs eligible to receive a subgrant may apply for Title III Immigrant Student Program funds directly via the Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS). |
