Funding is allocated to the Kern County Office of Education on behalf of the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT), an agency which assists and advises local educational agencies on their fiscal and administrative management responsibilities for the costs associated with providing technical assistance to local educational agencies as a result of the state of emergency declared by the Governor in January 2025.
