During October 13–24, 2025, the California Department of Education (CDE) will celebrate Digital Citizenship. At the center of the resources shared are ISTE’s
thoughtfully crafted lessons. The lessons are aligned with five Digital Citizenship Competencies: Balanced, Informed, Inclusive, Engaged, and Alert. These resources are tailored for specific grade bands, all of which have been reviewed and adapted by teachers in California, categorized by: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. All lessons and resources can be accessed on the California Educators Together Digital Literacy & Citizenship Week Hub
(registration required).
We invite all educators to make copies of the lessons to incorporate into your classrooms, share ideas with your colleagues at your school or district, and provide feedback with us on the California Educators Together Platform!
