Under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the State Education Agency (SEA) has the responsibility to implement equitable services for qualified nonprofit private school teachers and administrators to the extent that it reserves any funds under the ESEA Section 2101(c)(1) for any of the State-level activities authorized in sections 2101(c)(3)-(4).

NP PS Equitable Services Timeline
State-level activities in which qualified nonprofit private school teachers and administrators may participate must be determined in consultation between the SEA and appropriate private school officials.
Nonprofit Private School Professional Development State Consultation
The California Department of Education (CDE) conducts annual state level consultation regarding professional development for nonprofit private school educators and school leaders. State level consultation takes place through a survey. If you would like to receive the survey, please join the professional development listserv listed at the bottom of this page.
