DataQuest Schedule

An overview of the DataQuest reports expected to be released in the coming year.

Overview

Each year, local educational agencies (LEAs) submit information about their students and staff to the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). This encompasses various aspects of student outcomes such as graduation, discipline, absenteeism, and enrollment, in addition to demographic details for students and staff, and annual student enrollment. These data are used to produce reports on DataQuest and downloadable data files. To assist data users with their planning, this web page covers the schedule of reports to be released this year.

Upcoming Data Releases

The following reports and supporting downloadable files are scheduled to be released in 2026:

Fall 2026:

  • 2025–26 Annual Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) Rates
  • 2025–26 Four-Year Adjusted Cohort Graduation Rate (ACGR) and Outcome Reports
  • 2025–26 Five-Year Cohort Graduation Rates and Outcome Reports
  • 2025–26 Suspension Data Reports
  • 2025–26 Expulsion Data Reports
  • 2025–26 Stability Rate Reports
  • 2025–26 Chronic Absenteeism Reports
  • 2025–26 Absenteeism by Reason Reports
  • 2025–26 Homeless Student Enrollment by Dwelling Type
  • 2024–25 Teaching Assignment Monitoring Outcomes by Full-time Equivalent (FTE) Reports
  • 2023–24 College-Going Rate for High School Completers Reports

Future Releases

Moving forward, the CDE is actively working on the release of average class size and course enrollment data that will contain multiple years of data.
