Dear Kern County Superintendent of Schools:

First Apportionment
for the Standardized Account Code Structure
System Replacement Project
Fiscal Year 2021–22

This apportionment, in the amount of $1,395,000, is made to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) from funds provided in Section 135 of Assembly Bill 130 (Chapter 44, Statutes of 2021). These funds are apportioned to KCSOS, the county office of education selected by the California Department of Education (CDE), for the Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS) System Replacement Project. The amount paid in this apportionment is for the first and second quarterly payments pursuant to the August 2018 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the SACS System Replacement Project and the September 2021 Statement of Work for Fiscal Year 2021–22.

These funds shall be used by KCSOS, together with its subsidiaries, the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team and the California School Information Services, in accordance with the MOU as approved by the California Department of Finance and the California Joint Legislative Budget Committee.

The KCSOS was notified of this apportionment by email, which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The notification included a link to this letter and the apportionment schedule which are posted on the CDE SACS System Replacement Project web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/sacsreplacement.asp.

A warrant will be mailed to the Kern County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For SACS coding, use Resource Code 7810, Other Restricted State, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue.
