California Approved to Operate 2025 SUN Bucks


The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved California’s 2025 SUN Bucks Plan of Operations and Management (POM).

Eligible children throughout the state will receive $120 in 2025 SUN Bucks benefits. To learn more about program operations and implementation, Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are encouraged to attend the CDE’s upcoming webinar: 2025 SUN Bucks – What LEAs Need to Know.

The webinar will take place on April 16, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

This webinar, presented by the Nutrition Services Division of the CDE, will focus on various aspects of the 2025 SUN Bucks program, including implementation, eligibility, applications, and data sharing.

After registering, you will see a screen that says Webinar Registration Approved with a link to the webinar. You will also receive several emails with information about joining the webinar: First, you will receive confirmation the day you register and then you will receive two reminder emails one day and one hour prior to the webinar. If you cannot find the email confirmation, or do not receive the reminders, you can always reregister.

Tip for Attendees

To save time before the meeting, check your system to make sure it is ready to use Zoom.

If you receive an error message that the host has declined your webinar registration, try using an alternate email address. While not ideal, you may also join by phone if you have technical issues logging in from your computer.
