School Nutrition Programs LAPR

Provides the current and archived list of program operators scheduled for an off-site School Nutrition Program (SNP) Local Agency Procurement Review (LAPR).

In accordance with federal regulations, the California Department of Education (CDE) is required to monitor School Food Authorities (SFA) compliance with all program regulations including the procurement standards found in Title 7, Code of Federal Regulations (7 CFR), Section 210.21, and Title 2, Code of Federal Regulations, sections 200.317 to 200.327.

The CDE performs an off-site LAPR on an eight-year cycle for all residential childcare institutions, private schools, camps, public-school districts, charter schools, and county offices of education.

SFAs may be selected for review at any time during the eight-year cycle. The review schedule is not fixed and may not align with a prior cycle. The CDE considers a variety of factors each year when determining the review schedule, including available staff resources, prior review history, and the types of contracts in place.

Note: Administrative Reviews (AR) and LAPRs are separate reviews that may or may not occur during the same school year.

Review Schedule

On August 31, 2022, the Nutrition Services Division (NSD) notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that the LAPRs would be performed on an eight-year cycle to ensure compliance with 7 CFR, Section 210.19(a)(3).

Year 1, School Year (SY) 2025-2026
