How much is available for the California Community Schools Partnership Program annual apportionment?
Item 6100-115-0001 of Budget Act of 2026, Assembly Bill (AB) 109 (Chapter 19, Statutes of 2026), as amended by Section 137 of Senate Bill (SB) 111 (Chapter 21, Statutes of 2026) and Section 185 of AB 113 (Chapter XX, Statutes of 2026), appropriated $1 billion to implement the California Community Schools Partnership Program annual apportionment in California Education Code Section 8903, added by Section 19 of Assembly Bill 126 (Chapter. 65, 2026), as amended by Section 6 of SB 133 (Chapter XX, Statutes of 2026).

Who is eligible to receive a California Community Schools Partnership Program annual apportionment?
As defined in California Education Code (EC) Section 8901(h)(1), an eligible school site means either of the following:
A) An individual school within a local educational agency (LEA), excluding a charter school classified as a nonclassroom-based charter school, with an unduplicated pupil percentage of 65 percent or more and 10 or more pupils enrolled based on prior year Fall 1 census day pupil data submitted through the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System.B) An individual school within an LEA, including a charter school classified as a nonclassroom-based charter, that receives a California Community Schools Partnership Program Implementation Grant pursuant to EC Section 8902(h).

How is the California Community Schools Partnership Program annual apportionment calculated?
Pursuant to California Education Code (EC) Section 8903(c)(1)(B), funds are allocated to local educational agencies (LEAs) with eligible school sites based on the following computation for each eligible school site:
Pupils Enrolled at the Eligible School Site Amount to be Computed per Eligible School Site 10-24 $75,000 25-150 $115,000 151-400 $190,000 401-1,000 $230,000 1,001-2,000 $305,000 2,000+ $400,000
For LEAs with an eligible school site receiving a California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) Implementation Grant per EC Section 8902(h), funds are allocated to LEAs for each eligible school site based on the greater amount between the CCSPP Implementation Grant and the amount in EC Section 8903(c)(1)(B) for the number of pupils enrolled, as calculated pursuant to EC Section 8903(c)(1)(C).

The California Department of Education will release an apportionment of funds, reflecting 100 percent of the allocation for each LEA, in January 2027.
