County Technical Assistance for Tobacco-Use Prevention Education

Funding Description

The County Technical Assistance (TA) for Tobacco-Use Prevention Education (TUPE) grant provides funding to county offices of education to plan, develop, and implement capacity building, technical assistance and training, and program monitoring and improvement services for TUPE activities implemented by local educational agencies. A portion of TA funds are to be directed to identifying and reducing disparities among disparate youth populations.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Only county offices of education are eligible to apply for this funding. In order to be eligible to apply, the applicant agency must have been certified by the California Department of Education as meeting Tobacco-Free Policy Certification requirements as provided under California Health and Safety Code Section 104420 (n)(2).
