California Partnership Academies: Clean Technology and Renewable Energy SBX1 1

Funding Description

This is annual funding for the currently operating CPA programs included in the State Budget. This annual funding is to support Clean Technology and Renewable Energy (SBX1 1) California Partnership Academies (CPAs). SBX1 1 provides the legislation to support the development and operation of the Clean Technology and Renewable Energy CPAs. The jobs and activities described are very specific and range from entry level to professional level. The intent is to help guide the Academy focus towards employment and career opportunities that are growing and critical to California's economy and environment. The CPA model, a school-within-a-school for students in the ninth through twelfth grades, establishes viable partnerships with either the business community or the public sector, or both. Emphasis is placed on student achievement, attendance, and program accountability.
