Funding Description

Authorization is provided by Senate Bill No. 129, Support of State Department of Education, in the amount of $1,000,000 federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act funding made available on a one-time basis. The funding will be used to develop a technical assistance hub (TA Hub) to support local educational agencies (LEAs) including, districts; charter LEAs; county offices of education (COEs); and special education local plan areas (SELPAs); with assessing and addressing learning and service needs deficits experienced by students with disabilities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic during the 2021-22 fiscal year. The TA Hub will include current and relevant tools and resources, to be made available to all LEAs, for the specific purpose of ensuring high quality education programs for students with disabilities.
