Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program 2023-27

The goal of the Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program (IEEEP) grant is to increase access for young children birth to five years old in inclusive early care and education programs. It supports the inclusion of children with disabilities and exceptional needs, including children with severe disabilities, in early care and education settings pursuant to Part B and Part C of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Request for Applications (Enterprise Grants Management System)

 

Local educational agencies, including school districts, charter schools, and county offices of education are eligible to submit an Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program (IEEEP) Request for Application (RFA). Eligible applicants may apply and submit the RFA by April 12, 2024.

The IEEEP application will be released through the Grant management tool from REI Systems. All potential IEEEP applicants must register with the Grants Management tool, which will be available soon. To register please email a request to IEEEP-RFA@cde.ca.gov.

Request for Appeal
Information

The CDE must receive any request for appeal no later than June 4, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.

Appellants must submit appeal letters to the CDE electronically via email to IEEEP-RFA@cde.ca.gov.

Appeals are limited to addressing how the CDE failed to correctly apply the standards for reviewing the application as specified in the RFA. Additional information will not be accepted. Missing or incomplete documentation cannot be the basis for an appeal. Late appeals will not be considered.

The CDE will notify appellants of the results of their appeal within 10 business days of the receipt of the appeal letter. The CDE's decision is the final administrative action afforded by the appeal.

Required as a condition prior to receiving funds. Applicants will need to download, read, and file the General Assurances and Certifications document in their school files. This document is to be kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits.
