Homeless Education Technical Assistance Center (HETAC)


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Funding will be provided to up to three County Offices of Education (COEs) to provide support and technical assistance to other COEs, in a regional approach, to ensure they have the capacity, resources, and the tools required to support their local educational agencies (LEAs) with implementation of the requirements specified in Section 11432(g)(3) of the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11301 et seq.) Act. The provisions of this Act are designed to improve the identification, educational stability, access, support, and academic achievement of children and youth experiencing homelessness.

General Assurances & Certifications

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application - ConApp - should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Applications (RFA).
