On March 8, 2022, the California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division (NSD) hosted the fifth Universal Meals Listening Session webinar for school food service operators, chief business officials, and community partners, providing an opportunity for schools and community partners to learn more about the California Universal Meals Program (Universal Meals).

The webinar provided information on how to implement Universal Meals as a charter school or smaller school district; providing resources and best practices for vending meals and partnering with a larger school district. This session also included an overview of Universal Meals, answers to frequently asked questions, and presentations from two food service directors.
