On January 31, 2024, the Quaker Oats Company recalled an additional granola bar that may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The California Department of Education Nutrition Services Division strongly recommends that food program operators take precautions to ensure these products are not served or consumed and instead are disposed of per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Please note that per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) these products are not U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods items.
The following information is directly from the FDA:
January 31, 2024 – An additional granola bar has been added to the U.S. Recalled Products list as indicated on the first row of the chart below. This product was discontinued in September 2023 and has “Best Before” dates of February 10 or 11, 2024. Consumers should check their pantries and dispose of the product.
