The California Department of Education (CDE) Charter-Schools Listserv provides the California charter school community and other interested parties a conduit to important and time sensitive information from the CDE. The Charter-Schools Listserv is an open listserv with no membership restrictions and is maintained by the CDE Lyris Listserv team in coordination with Charter Schools Division staff.

To join the list, send a blank email message to email@example.com.
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address that was subscribed. You must reply to the confirmation email in order for your membership to be activated.
Unsubscribe from the Charter-Schools Listserv
To leave the list, send a blank email message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address that was unsubscribed. You must reply to the confirmation email in order for your membership to be deactivated.

Are there any rules regarding message content?
List member postings are not permitted. For individuals interested in sharing important news with charter school colleagues, we invite you to submit requests and/or recommendations for postings to the Charter-Schools Listserv to the Charter Schools Division via email at email@example.com.
My school or personal email service provider has restrictions on specific types and sizes of attachments. Will this be a problem on the Charter-Schools Listserv?
Emails may include hyperlinks to the California Department of Education website where documents and information can be viewed, printed, and/or downloaded. Rarely, we may include attachments, but in no case would we forward executable application files. Attachment formats may include Microsoft (MS) Word documents, MS Excel spreadsheets, and Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
How do I know if I am subscribed to the list?
You will receive a list-generated confirmation email confirming your subscription.
I subscribed to the list months ago. Now I am not getting any messages, but a colleague at my school is getting messages from the same mailing list. What happened?
Your email address may have been removed from the mailing list due to a problem at your site with your email system. If you are not receiving messages, please re-subscribe to the Charter-Schools Listserv.
My email address is changing. What should I do?
If your email address changes, you are responsible for changing your address on the list. You may do so by unsubscribing your old email address and then subscribing with your new email address.
