Item 1–Update on the Development of California’s Accountability System: California Department of Education (CDE) staff will discuss recent developments in California’s new integrated local, state, and federal accountability and continuous improvement system. Item 3–Commission on Teacher Credentialing Update: Information on current activities of the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, including an update on new teacher grants and residency, will be provided. (Item type: Information, discussion, action)

Item 4–General Public Comment: General public comment is invited on any matter, including items not on the agenda. The ACSE is precluded from discussing matters not on the agenda; however, questions may be asked by Commissioners for clarification purposes. Issues raised by the public may be referred to a future meeting agenda. Chair reserves the right to establish time limits on presentations. (Item type: Information, discussion)

Item 5–ACSE Committee Planning: The ACSE has identified standing committees to allow Commissioners and members of the public to discuss those issues that are specific to the work in the field. The members will discuss the specific objectives for each Committee meeting, and discuss norms for operation. (Item type: Information, discussion)

Item 6–Recognition of Service for Past Chair: Commissioners will honor past Chair, Gina Plate for her years of service to the ACSE. (Item type: Information)
