Item 2–Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Update: Stephanie Gregson, Director of the Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Division, CDE, will provide information on the CDE's efforts to develop inclusive curriculum and frameworks ensuring each and every student is provided access to grade-level standards and curriculum. Item 4–California Curriculum Collaborative Presentation: Representatives of the California Curriculum Collaborative will provide an overview of the resource that they have created in order to ensure every LEA has access to high quality curriculum. This discussion will provide an overview of the resource as well as offer the opportunity to engage in discussion related to serving each and every student in an inclusive setting. Item 5–Liaison Reports: Updates from Dr. Niki Sandoval, California State Board of Education; the Honorable Dr. Richard Pan, California State Senator; the Honorable Tony Thurmond, California State Assemblymember; and ACSE Commissioners. (Item type: Information, discussion)

Item 6–ACSE Committee Preface and Discussion: The ACSE has identified standing committees to allow Commissioners and members of the public to discuss those issues that are specific to the work in the field. The members will discuss the specific objectives for each Committee meeting, and discuss norms for operation. . (Information, discussion)

Item 7–ACSE Committee Meetings: Commissioners have established standing Policy and Legislative Committees. Committees will be reviewing the ACSE Strategic Plan and Legislative Platform, the ACSE Mission and Vision, and the Children's Bill of Rights in addition to discussing agenda topics for future committee meetings. Item 12–ACSE Breakout Discussion: The ACSE is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities continue to make academic gains, and stay abreast of trends that are happening in the field. Given the recent release of data, Commissions will break into small groups to review and discuss the SPP Indicator information presented during Item 11. Following the breakout discussion, commissioners will report on the content and outcomes from the small group discussions and provide potential recommendations. Item 14–Voices from the Field: The ACSE would like to receive input from stakeholder groups about trends, challenges, and successes. Participants include SELPA Administrators of California, Parent Training and Information Centers, Family Empowerment Centers, California Teachers Association, California Charter Schools Association, California Association of Resource Specialists Plus, Special Education Administrators of County Offices, California Parent Teacher Association, California School Employees Association, and any other groups who would like to provide input. Item 15–General Public Comment: General public comment is invited on any matter, including items not on the agenda. The ACSE is precluded from discussing matters not on the agenda; however, questions may be asked by Commissioners for clarification purposes.
