Epilepsy Education and Awareness

Information for parents and educators on the needs of children with epilepsy in the California school system.

The California Legislature has enacted Assembly Concurrent Resolution (ACR)167 External link opens in new window or tab., Resolution Chapter 154, recognizing September 2010 and each September thereafter as Students with Epilepsy Month.

ACR 167, in addition, resolves “That the Epilepsy Foundations of California are encouraged to continue to join with the educational and health communities to conduct epilepsy education and awareness.”

The Special Education Division of the California Department of Education, as part of an effort to inform parents and educators about the needs of children with epilepsy in our school system, shares the following epilepsy education and awareness Web sites:
