Release of New Data Reports on DataQuest

Senate Bill (SB) 98 External link opens in new window or tab. (Chapter 24, Statutes of 2020) suspended the reporting of state and local indicators on the 2020 California School Dashboard (Dashboard). However, the statute requires that available data that would have been included in the Dashboard are reported on the CDE’s website if they are determined to be valid and reliable.

While the CDE encourages local education agencies (LEAs) to utilize the information made available on the CDE website, it is also critical that LEAs review their locally collected data to inform supports for at-risk students on a regular basis. On January 28, 2021, the CDE conducted a webinar on how to use state and local data to assist LEAs to complete their Local Accountability Plans (LCAPs) (Data and the 2021- 22 LCAP (PPTX)). Additional webinars that support the planning process can be found on the CDE Tuesday @ 2 Webinar Series webpage.

Update on the 2019–20 Absenteeism Data

Therefore, the CDE has not processed these data and they are unavailable for public release. This includes chronic absenteeism rate and absenteeism reason data for 2019–20.
