21st Century Community Learning Centers Rate Increase


Funding Description

This is an additional $53,823,000 provided to increase the daily reimbursement rates for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers in 2022-23 and to sustain the existing 21st Century funds to increase daily reimbursement rate, to $10.18 per student per day.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria After School Education and Safety(ASES) Programs at Elementary and Middle Schools, Nonprofit organizations may also apply, but with a co-applicant from a local educational agencies or public agency that must agree to act as the fiscal agent of the grant.

Legal Authority 6100-149-0001Provision 2 This funding shall be used to increase the daily per pupil rate and maximum grant amount. The State Department of Education shall adjust the dollar amount specified in section 8482.55, 8483.7, 8483.75 and 8483.76 of the Education Code in accordance with the amount provided.
