Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program

The purpose of this program is to facilitate the enrollment, attendance, and success in school of homeless children and youth; and ensure homeless children and youth have equal access to the same free, appropriate, public education as provided to all other students. These funds can be used to facilitate coordination and collaboration among local educational agencies, service providers, and community agencies.

Attachment 1 (PDF) Letter of Intent is required if the local educational agency intends to submit an application.
Attachment 2 (PDF) Application Fact Sheet is to be submitted with the Application Narrative.
Attachment 3 (PDF) Assurances and Required Signatures are required for each applicant applying for funding.
Attachment 4 (PDF) Budget Request Form to be submitted with the application.

General Assurances & Certifications (Posted February-2020)

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application - ConApp - should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Application (RFA).
