An Administrative Review (AR) is an evaluation conducted by the California Department of Education (CDE) that is mandated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The AR process is designed to ensure that all participating sponsors and agencies comply with the Federal and State program requirements of the Child Nutrition Programs (CNP). These programs include the School Nutrition Programs (SNP), the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Each program has specific guidelines and specifications, which will be outlined in further depth on the pages below.
