SUN Bucks Reminder - EDCS Data Accuracy
Reminder about ensuring data accuracy in Education Data Collection System (EDCS) submissions.This is a reminder to ensure that all SUN Bucks eligibility data submitted through the Supplemental SUN Bucks Collection (SSBC) in the Education Data Collection System (EDCS) is accurate and complete.
Accurate reporting is critical to:
- Ensure that eligible students receive SUN Bucks benefits,
- Prevent the issuance of benefits to ineligible students, and
- Protect the integrity of program operations.
Please review your data carefully before submission. Records that are incomplete, inaccurate, or improperly uploaded may result in errors or delays with benefit issuance.
For reference, 2025 SUN Bucks eligibility is based on the following records with start dates between July 1, 2024, and September 2, 2025:
- Approved National School Lunch Program Meal Applications (EDCS)
- Approved Universal Benefits Applications (EDCS)
- Local Direct Certification (EDCS)
- Extended Benefits (EDCS)
- State Match Direct Certification (California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System [CALPADS])
- Categorical Eligibility via designation as migrant, homeless, or foster youth (CALPADS)
If you discover that incorrect data has been submitted, please immediately notify CALPADS-Support@cde.ca.gov and take steps to correct your submission in EDCS.
