Maximizing Enrollment Resources
Resources to support increasing enrollment in the California State Preschool Program (CSPP).The California Department of Education (CDE) has noted the importance of providing resources and support to California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractors working to maximize enrollment due to the move to funding based on enrollment, effective July 1, 2026. Specifically, Education Code (EC) Section 8245.5 provides that commencing July 1, 2026, the contract reimbursement for CSPP shall be based on the lesser of the following:
- The maximum reimbursable amount stated in the contract;
- The contractor's net reimbursable program costs; or
- The product of the adjusted child days of enrollment for certified children times the contract rate set forth in this section.
