Education and Training - Collaboration

This section focuses on learning what is available in your local community in regard to postsecondary education and training options.

Collaboration with programs and agencies that support youth with disabilities enhances the potential for students to be prepared for postsecondary education and training options. Collaboration with general education also assists students to participate in programs with a career focus. It is important to research what is available in your local community in regard to postsecondary education and training options.

The National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center (NSTTAC) has identified an evidence-based practice in secondary transition planning that leads to positive post-school outcomes in the area of education and training which is connecting activities that support achievement of secondary goals and participation in postsecondary education and training.

Preparing for College

The goal of the program is to significantly increase the number of low-income middle and high school students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
