Necessary Small SELPA ECP for Mental Health

Funding details for Special Education Necessary Small SELPAs Extraordinary Cost Pool (ECP) for Mental Health Services.

This program reimburses necessary small special education local plan areas (SELPAs) as defined in California Education Code Section 56212, for extraordinary costs associated with educationally related mental health services, including out-of-home residential services.

Funding Exhibits

Funding for this program calculates only at Annual on the Necessary Small SELPAs Extraordinary Cost Pool for Mental Health Services (NSS ECPMH) Process exhibit and populates on the SELPA Special Education Funding Exhibit. ECP and NSS ECPMH Supplemental Form

  • ECP Supplemental Form (XLSX) - This form assists local educational agencies (LEAs) in recording monthly expenditures for each student's claim and reporting the total costs in the Principal Apportionment Data Collection (PADC) Web Application. The California Department of Education (CDE) recommends LEAs include this form as part of the supporting documentation for each claim. For more information regarding ECP or NSS ECPMH data reporting, refer to the PADC User Manual on the Principal Apportionment web page.
