National Nutrition Month 2026

The Nutrition Services Division encourages program operators to participate in the National Nutrition Month and National School Breakfast Week.

March is the month when you can help your school community to Discover the Power of Nutrition during National Nutrition Month. Perhaps encourage them to begin with a Quest for School Breakfast during National School Breakfast week, celebrated March 2-6. However you choose to celebrate, the California Department of Education Nutrition Services Division (NSD) would like to encourage you to participate and uplift your teams for all they do to bring quality, nutritious meals to all students, every school day.

Please read the letter from Kim Frinzell, NSD Director.
