Chair Grande called the meeting to order at approximately 10:50 A.M.

Approval of the Preliminary Report of Action

• November 7, 2019
  • Member Rawlings moved to approve the November 7, 2019 meeting’s Preliminary Report of Action.
  • Member Rucker seconded the motion.
    • Yes Votes: Chair Grande, Member Rawlings, Member Rucker, Member Salazar, and Vice Chair Sun
    • No votes: None
    • Member Absent: Member Ortiz-Licon
    • Abstentions: None
    • Recusals: None
    The motion passed with five votes.

Subject: Second Reading and Review of Perkins V State Plan: The federal application to the United States Department of Education for funds to fulfil the requirements for the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21^st Century Act.

Recommendation: The SBE, the CDE, and the CCCCO staff jointly recommends that the CWPJAC review and approve the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan to go out for public comment.

Action: Approval of the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan for public comment.

• Vice Chair Sun moved to approve the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan.
• Member Rawlings seconded the motion.

  • No votes: Chair Grande, Member Rawlings, Member Rucker, and Vice Chair Sun

  The motion passed with four votes.

Ex-Officio Member Rattray shared that Member Salazar is in support of the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan to move to public comment. Ex-Officio Member Rattray also voiced his support of the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan.

• Committee members had comments for staff to consider including in the Draft Federal Perkins V State Plan when the public comments are reviewed.
