Reading Instruction and Intervention Grant


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

The grantee(s) will generate and disseminate professional learning (PL) opportunities for educators, including teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals, serving kindergarten through grade twelve (K-12) students across the state. Grantee(s) will provide PL in the areas of evidence-based literacy, intensive literacy interventions, and executive functioning skills. PL must align with state guidance and policies and support the literacy needs of diverse learners, including English learner students, students with disabilities, and students with dyslexia.

Errata Provides the addition of the State Statute and Authority to Section 1, Part A of the RII RFA, and the corresponding corrections to the labels of Part B and Part C. Provides corrections to the titles of the guidance documents, Improving Education for Multilingual and English Learner Students, and the California Practitioners Guide for Educating English Learners with Disabilities.

General Assurances & Certifications

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application (ConApp) should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the RFA.
