Food Smarts: Free Trainings


CalFresh Healthy Living is offering a number of free Food Smarts Facilitator Trainings. Food Smarts is a flexible, evidence-based, learner-centered curriculum designed for leading nutrition education workshops with youth ages 5-17; the curriculum covers a variety of topics, including food and nutrition literacy, nutrition security, food recovery, and adoption of healthy dietary and lifestyle habits. Trainings include a combination of self-paced work and live online meetings and one training option below is conducted in Spanish.

  • Dates: Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and May 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Food Smarts Facilitator Training External link opens in new window or tab.

  • Dates: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, and June 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., PST

Capacitación Para Educadores de Food Smarts, Español External link opens in new window or tab.

  • Dates: Thursday, May 21, 2026, and June 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., PST
