Second Principal Apportionment (P-2)

Principal Apportionment Summary (XLSX)
Reflects an LEA’s total state aid for all programs included in the Principal Apportionment, including prior year adjustments. This forms the basis for determining an LEA’s monthly payments.

Detail by LEA, fiscal year, and program of the adjustments and prior year recomputations reflected on Line A-17 of the Principal Apportionment Summary.

Payment Schedule Summary - LEA detail (XLSX; Updated 15-Jul-2021)
Provides an LEA’s monthly Principal Apportionment payment for the month June. The June payment is based on the total P-2 Principal Apportionment amount, net of payments to date including P-1 deferrals. For all LEAs except those with an approved deferral exemption, the June payment will be paid in July 2021, pursuant to Education Code 14041.5. This file was updated in July 2021 to reflect accelerated payment of the February, March, and April 2020–21 P-1 deferred payments, pursuant to Assembly Bill 130 (Chapter 44, Statutes of 2021).

Detail of attendance and enrollment/unduplicated pupil count transfers for students who attend a charter school, and who meet specific requirements and are credited to the county office of education (COE) for purposes of local control funding formula (LCFF) funding for fiscal years 2020–21 P-2, 2019–20 AN R-1, and 2018–19 AN R-3.

Detail of attendance and enrollment/unduplicated pupil count transfers for students who attend non-juvenile court schools operated by the COE and who do not meet specific requirements and are credited to the district of residence, for purposes of LCFF funding for fiscal years 2020–21 P-2, 2019–20 AN R-1, and 2018–19 AN R-3.

SB 820 ADA Determination Calculation for Growth LEAs and Newly Operational Charter Schools (XLSX)
List of LEAs eligible for Senate Bill (SB) 820 growth determination pursuant to Education Code 43505 and newly operational charter schools. For eligible SB 820 growth LEAs, provides a summary of the ADA and LCFF Entitlement estimates to determine the ADA used in the 2020–21 P-2 funding calculations.
