To the ACCS commissioners and California Department of Education (CDE) staff,

I am writing to you both as a parent and a proud member of the Baypoint Preparatory Academy staff since 2021. Our family joined the BPA community in 2019, and over the past several years,it has become not only the school my children attend but also a place I am honored to serve. I respectfully ask for your support in renewing Baypoint’s charter so that this special place can continue to positively impact the lives of students and families like mine.

As a mother, I’ve witnessed my children fl ourish at BPA—academically, socially, and emotionally. They are not just students in a classroom; they are known, supported, and valued by every staff member they encounter. This kind of individualized care has allowed them to grow with confi dence and curiosity. The friendships they’ve formed here are deep and lasting, and the school environment encourages kindness, inclusion, and joy in learning.

One thing my children especially love is the opportunity to participate in unique programs like archery. As the Archery Team Coordinator and Coach, I’ve had the incredible privilege of building and leading this program. It has become a powerful outlet for student growth, teamwork, and personal achievement. It’s not something you fi nd at every school, and it refl ects BPA’s commitment to providing distinctive and meaningful opportunities for all learners. They look forward to going to school each day—and as a parent, that means the world.

As a staff member, I’ve experienced firsthand the dedication and heart behind BPA’s mission. The school community is collaborative, family-oriented, and focused on doing what’s best for kids. We work hard to provide a learning environment where students feel safe, seen, and capable of success. Parents are included and informed, and our team truly operates with unity and purpose.

Baypoint Preparatory Academy is more than a school—it’s a lifeline for families who want something more intentional and personal for their children’s education. If the charter were not renewed, it would be a tremendous loss—not just for my children, but for an entire community
of families who have found their place here.

I believe with all my heart that BPA deserves to continue making an impact. Please consider renewing the charter so we can keep nurturing young minds and shaping futures in the meaningful, student-centered way that only Baypoint can.
With sincere appreciation,

Lisl Budfuloski

Baypoint Parent; Staff Member
