ISAC Reporting Reminder and Deadline Extension
This is a reminder that local educational agencies (LEAs) must submit a California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) Student Absence Summary (STAS) file, for each calendar month August 2021 through May 2022, to the Independent Study Attendance Collection (ISAC) Reporting System. These data will be used in conjunction with CALPADS Operational Data Store (ODS) data to determine student eligibility and benefit levels under the Pandemic Electronic Transfer (P-EBT) program for the 2021−22 school year. Please refer to Flash 235 and 238 for more information on the 2021−22 P-EBT program and the ISAC submission.
At this point we have received data from about half of the expected LEAs. In order to obtain data from as many LEAs as possible, we’re extending the reporting deadline by a week. The deadline to report your data to ISAC is now October 7, 2022. Failure to report data through ISAC may result in students missing out on P-EBT benefits.
In an effort to assist LEAs with ISAC reporting, many of the Student Information System (SIS) Vendors are providing a process for generating the monthly files needed for ISAC reporting. We highly recommend that you reach out to your SIS vendor for support in creating the files.
The ISAC Reporting System is available on the CDE website at https://www2.cde.ca.gov/isacreportingsystem. Access to the ISAC Reporting System is based on the LEA CALPADS administrator of record. We ask that you use the Search LEA Administrator feature on the login page to see who is listed as your CALPADS LEA administrator. If the administrator of record is no longer with your LEA, or if someone else needs access to the ISAC Reporting System, please have your superintendent or charter administrator email the ISAC Team at isac@cde.ca.gov and request access for the new user(s). We will need the LEA(s) name and the user’s name, email, and phone number in order to grant access.
If you are the administrator of record and you need the access code to access the ISAC Reporting System, please use the Recover Your Access Code feature on the ISAC login page to have your access code emailed to you.
We appreciate your efforts in reporting these data. Should you have questions about the contents on this email, or the ISAC collection, please email the ISAC Team at isac@cde.ca.gov.
